Town hall for wildfire evacuees at UNBC’s Canfor Theatre tonight

The City of Prince George has announced it will be hosting a town hall event for evacuees this evening.

Here is the release from the City:

“There will be a town hall for evacuees tonight at the Canfor Theatre at UNBC. 

The City of Prince George will be hosting a town hall meeting for evacuees tonight, July 13.

It will take place at 8:00pm in the Canfor Theatre at the University of Northern British Columbia and will be simulcast to Room 1-306 at the College of New Caledonia and the Wolf Den at the Charles Jago Northern Sport Centre.

The town hall will be livestreamed but evacuees will need to attend in person at the Canfor Theatre if they wish to ask questions.

Updates will be provided by representatives from:

· BC Wildfire Service
· Cariboo Regional District
· Northern Health

The evening will be emceed by Prince George Mayor, Lyn Hall.”
