Prince George fire crews responded to a structure fire on the 1800 block of Redwood Street.
Fifteen firefighters went to the call just after 8:30 Saturday morning.
Fire crews found flames coming from under the stairs, entering the upper-level of the home.
All five people inside did not sustain any injuries.
Crews then found a way into the basement and located a man asleep in his bedroom.
He was examined by BC Ambulance and was released with no injuries.
The cause of the fire is unknown and damage is estimated at $5,000.
