The number of Prince George wildfire evacuees is inching closer to 10,000.
More than 7,500 adults and 1,700 children have now registered at CNC’s Emergency Reception Centre.
The Ritchie Brothers site on Highway 16 west became a military depot on Thursday.
225 Edmonton-based soldiers and over 60 vehicles spent the evening in PG on their way to the Cariboo.
Their goal is to free up RCMP personnel for core policing and law enforcement duties.
