PG Crime Stoppers Shred It event cancelled

Prince George Crime Stoppers ‘Shred It’ event has been delayed until next year.

The shredding truck intended for the event broke down and was unable to make the trip to Prince George, effectively cancelling the event.

Ron Polillo, PG Crime Stoppers President, says they looked into every other option but was unable to make something work.

The event is a way to help eliminate chances of identity theft by shredding documents with personal information on them for a minimum donation of $5.

The proceeds go towards supporting the Prince George Crime Stopper Society.

Polillo says it is unlikely the event will happen later in the fall.

The next time Shred It is scheduled is April 2018.
