Watch: An Emotional Justin Trudeau Pays Tribute To Gord Downie

Canadian Icon and Tragically Hip frontman Gord Downie has succumbed to brain cancer at the age of 53.

He passed away on Tuesday night surrounded by his friends and family.

In December of 2015, an aggressive and incurable form of brain cancer was discovered after Downie suffered a seizure.

Downie’s final concert with The Tragically Hip took place in August of 2016.
