Quesnel man now in custody following suspected shooting

The Quesnel arrested 31-year-old Cody Lornsten, who was wanted in connection with an alleged shooting in Prince George.

An arrest warrant was issued for Lornsten on Monday and he was taken into custody on Robbis Drive in Quesnel Tuesday night.

He lives in Prince George but is from the North Cariboo.

He scheduled to appear in court in Prince George sometime today.

Lornsten was wanted in connection with an incident early Sunday morning.

Police say they received a report of shots fired on Tamarack Street and a further investigation revealed two individuals exchanged gunfire outside a residence.

One person was injured and a 20-year old Prince George man was arrested for Attempted Murder.

Lornsten is facing charges that include Discharging a Firearm With Intent to Wound or Disfigure and Possession of a Firearm Contrary to an Order as well as several counts of Breach of Probation.

He was scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
