UNBC has a record smart pack of T-wolves

19 UNBC athletes are 2016-17 Academic All-Canadians for their work in the classroom and in their respective sport.

It’s the highest total of UNBC Timberwolves students that have been recognized.

The U-Sports Academic All-Canadian ceremony honours students who have achieved a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.67 (an A- letter grade) or higher.

With a collective GPA of 3.30, the Women’s soccer team won the Office of the Provost Academic Achievement Award for the third straight year, given to the Timberwolves varsity team with the highest GPA during the season.

The full list of UNBC Academic All-Canadians is as follows:

(Seven Women’s Soccer, seven Men’s Soccer, three Women’s Basketball, two Men’s Basketball)

He has served as the colour commentator for Prince George Cougars home games for 12 seasons. Hartley has been a fixture on the airwaves since 1979. He is the author of You Don’t Say, a collection of his most memorable sports quotes. Hartley is married with two children and four grandchildren.

RCMP looking to identify suspects in repeated vandalism investigation

The Prince George RCMP are looking to identify suspects in an investigation into repeated vandalism at a residence on the 100-block of McQueen Crescent. According to police, the initial investigation began in late May, when unidentified suspects threw a rock through the front window of the home, and spray painted the front with orange spray paint.
