Three incumbent councillors seek re-election

Day one into the official election race and three incumbent Prince George councillors announced their candidacy, Wednesday.

Speaking at his store – Great White Collectibles, Cameron Stolz (pictured) says he is running as a voice of experience on our infrastructure.

“i’m very proud to point out that in the last six years that I’ve been on council, we have tripled the amount of paving we’ve been doing in our city, that we have increased, dramatically, the amount of money that we have been able to put aside to deal with our basic infrastructure,” Stolz says.

Councillor Brian Skakun is running for a fifth consecutive term and says council needs to focus on “principles before personalities”.

“I think the new council, whoever gets elected, needs to really pull together, forget about the individual councillor, even though they’re important , but remember that we have to have a common goal and that’s to make Prince George a better place for all people,” Skakun says.
