Prince George figure skater advances to Canadian finals

Justin Hampole has qualified for the Canadian Tire National Figure Skating Championships January 8th to 14th in Vancouver.

The 16-year-old Duchess Park student was one of 18 skaters to advance on Sunday after a 12th place finish out of 28 in the junior men’s (Under-19) division at the 2018 Skate Canada Challenge in Montreal.

This is the second straight year Hampole will compete in the Canadian championships.

He placed 14th out of 18 in novice men at the 2017 Nationals in Ottawa.
