Cariboo Cougars outgun Silvertips in Nanaimo to wrap up pre-Christmas schedule

The hot stick of Hunter Floris proved to come in handy once again for the Cariboo Cougars as they picked up a pair of victories over the North Island Silvertips this weekend by scores by 7-5 and 8-2.

Floris potted a hat-trick during the opening game of the double dip in Nanaimo.

The major-midget Cats improve to 19-4-1 and pull even with the 19-3-1 Valley West Hawks for top spot in the BC Major Midget Hockey League.

Cariboo is now off until Boxing Day when they participate in the Mac’s Midget AAA Hockey Tournament in Calgary.

League action will resume with the Winter Showcase January 13th and 14th when they play the Hawks from the Capital News Centre in Kelowna.
