Hampole sits 12th at Figure Skating Nationals

18 skaters, including Justin Hampole of Prince George, competed in the Junior Men Short Program at the Canadian Tire National Figure Skating Championships in Vancouver.

Hampole is in 12th place in the Under-19 Division.

The 16-year-old Duchess Park student had to wait until just before 11PM to compete.

He was the last skater to participate on Monday.

The Junior Men Free Program will take to the ice Wednesday night.

This is the second consecutive year that Hampole is taking part in the Canadian finals.

He finished 14th out of 18 in Novice Men at the 2017 Nationals in Ottawa.
