Michael Lee Wants To Bring A More Balanced Approach To The BC Liberal Party

Liberal Leadership Candidate Michael Lee came to Prince George last night to have a face-to-face conversation about why northerners should rally behind him.

He stated to a hand full of people he could be the voice for the younger generation and how, in comparison to the other candidates, he is the only one who’s been able to attract new people to the party

But first, he wants to work on reuniting the Liberal party.

“In the course of this campaign I’ve been working on that since the end of July to build a very strong coalition team of young and old, rural and urban, new Canadians, Canadians who’ve been here for sometime, and people who have different values and beliefs on, sort of, the wide political spectrum for the BC Liberal party.”

Lee stressed the importance of brining more health services to the north, along with advocating to fight against the NDP’s decision on electoral reform.

Having a business background and being Minister of Forest for 20 years Lee sees the opportunity for BC to stand out when it comes to clean natural resource.

“We have a strength here in the province of developing resources responsibly, and we have a BC brand to continue to promote around that, so, to continue to develop the cleanest LNG in the world, too move forward with Site C, of course, was more than just about 2,200 jobs it’s also about clean reliable power for generations to come.”

A new leader will be chosen in February 3rd.
