Prince George expands division lead with win in Chilliwack

The Spruce Kings wrapped up their three-game, three-day road trip with a convincing 5-1 victory in Chilliwack Sunday afternoon.

With the two points, Prince George, with a record of 25-15-4-4, extends their BCHL Mainland Division lead to three points ahead of the Surrey Eagles.

Forward Dustin Manz recorded a natural hat-trick against the Chiefs, all in the third period, while Ben Poisson and Ethan de Jong each tallied two points for a second consecutive game.

Goaltender Evan DeBrouwer made 31 saves on 32 shots in his 19th win of the 2017-18 season.

The Spruce Kings return home this weekend to begin a five-game homestand at the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena (RMCA).

Chilliwack rolls into the Northern capital Friday and Saturday; both puck-drops are scheduled for 7PM.
