Big Brothers Big Sisters of Prince George received $15,000 in funding from Four Rivers Co-op.
A cheque was presented last night at the Prince George Spruce Kings hockey game.
Executive Director Tim Bennett was in attendance to accept the cheque and says the money will go to help operating a regular drop in program and low cost or free skill development programs.
Thank you so much @FourRiversCoop for this very generous donation to @BBBSPG. Also for hosting our matches, families and kids pre-game for a pizza party! #CityOfPG https://t.co/QMux5ODW5c

“We have various group programming for youth of all ages. So, this funding will allow us to continue to grow that programming, and provide more free opportunity for children and youth in Prince George, to come and participate in group programming and help build new skills and activities.”
Back in 2017, the Four Rivers Co-op committed to supporting charities and non profits groups in six communities across its trading district.
Bennett says he’s happy Co-op has similar values as BBBSPG.
“This is just a really good fit between organizations and a great way too help provide mentors for children and youth living in Prince George.”
