UPDATE:
Drive BC says Highway 97 has re-opened in both directions five kilometres south of Bear Lake.
The road was closed earlier this afternoon due to a vehicle incident.
It is unclear at this time the cause of the incident.

Drive BC has confirmed Highway 97 near Bear Lake, less than an hour’s drive north of Prince George, is closed due to a vehicle incident.
The highway is closed in both directions almost five kilometres south of the community with no detour available for motorists.
