Smith’s magnificent seven chases Cougars out of Spokane

Prince George experienced more than just a one-punch knockout south of the border.

The Cougars gave up a season-high nine goals on 34 shots against the Chiefs, taking a 9-2 beating in front of more than 7,900 fans Friday night in Spokane.

He also posted a plus-seven rating (+7).

Brogan O’Brien and Aaron Boyd were the goal-scorers for Prince George.

Jared Bethune also recorded his 100th career WHL assist in the contest, while Josh Maser tallied his ninth multi-point game with helpers on both goals.
