Warm Sunday temperature breaks record!

With temperatures being relatively balmy for the past month it may come as no surprise that we broke a weather record on Sunday afternoon.

Barring the windy conditions Meteorologist Dave Lunquist says the temperature shattered the old record handily:

“We had a flow that was coming a ways from the South, so originating near Hawaii and bringing us really mild air to the area. We ended up with a record high in Prince George of 20.7, breaking the old record of 16.7 in 1952.”

Lunquist says the wind contributed to the high temperature, and that warmer than average water temperatures in the Pacific may contribute to potential warmer than average winter.
