Police officers across BC will be issuing e-Tickets while on the roads.
Starting April 16th, the North District RCMP will participate in the pilot project that will wrap up in mid-May.
From there, the detachment will report to the Ministry of Public Safety about a potential province-wide rollout in the future.
The new technology will be able to scan drivers licenses and will rapidly share information with partners like ICBC, eliminating the need to mail tickets.
