For the second time this series, the Chilliwack Chiefs rode a three-goal explosion to edge the Prince George Spruce Kings 3-2 on Tuesday to even up their best-of-seven series at two games each.
Ryan Bowen, Jake Gresh, and local product and former Spruce King Bryan Allbee found chinks in the armour of Prince George netminder Evan DeBrouwer potting a trio of goals on 18 shots during the middle frame.
The Spruce Kings got on the board in the second, courtesy of a shorthanded goal by Ethan de Jong making it a 3-1 game after 40 minutes.
Nolan Welsh brought the visitors to within one with less than five minutes to go in the game but were unable to get the equalizer past Chiefs goaltender Daniel Chenard.
That will do it. Spruce Kings fall 3-2 to the Chiefs in Game 4.
Series is tied at 2. Prince George, we need you Thursday night at the RMCA
