Prince George Agri-fairs get a boost from the government

The BC government handed out some grant money on Thursday, which saw Prince George take home seventy thousand dollars that will go towards the Agriculture and Historical Association, which runs events like the BCNE from August 5th to the 9th.

Agricultural Minister Norm Letnick says the fairs are a great way of bringing together the community, and helps showcase the importance of ranching, and agricultural business across the Province:

“This will be an opportunity for young people in the 4-H Club for example who have a passion for food and farming to meet more experienced farmers, who are also showing their animals or products at the same time”

In total $794,000 was divided out between 18 different Agri-fairs across the Province.
