UPDATE – 3PM:
Highway 16 is now partially open east of Prince George.
Single-lane alternating traffic is getting by at a location 30 kilometres west of McBride.
This comes after several hours of closure due to a vehicle collision after 10AM this morning.
There’s no detour in place at this time and authorities are asking commuters to drive with caution as workers continue to clear the area.
No details about the incident have been released or if anyone was injured.

Drive BC is reporting a closure on Highway 16 east of Prince George this morning.
According to the service, the road is closed in both directions at this time due to a vehicle incident has occurred 30-kilometres west of McBride.
There’s no designated detour available.
