UPDATE – 12:35PM:
Highway 26 is now clear in both directions.
The road was closed less than 10 kilometres east of the Highway 97 junction in Quesnel for less than two hours after a vehicle collision.
There’s no details at this time if anyone was injured from the incident.

ORIGINAL STORY:
A stretch of Highway 26 is closed in both directions due to a vehicle incident.
According to Drive BC, the collision occurred less than 10 kilometres east of the junction with Highway 97 near Quesnel, forcing a full closure of the road in both directions.
The incident occurred after 11AM this morning.
The service says there’s no designated detour in place for commuters.
Crews are on-scene looking to clear the damage quickly.
