One person has died following a collision this morning in the Cariboo region between a fuel truck and another vehicle.
Highway 20 is still closed in both directions west of Williams Lake, 200 kilometres west of the Highway 97 junction, but it’s estimated to re-open later this evening.
The incident occurred near Hanceville, and RCMP officers from Alexis Creek and Williams Lake were called to the scene near the top of Lee’s Hill shortly before 11AM.
In a statement, North District RCMP Corporal Madonna Saunderson says another person has been taken to hospital with undisclosed injuries.
The investigation is in the early stages and details of the crash are limited.
