Professional Green Thumb and Restaurateur named top business person

A familiar face has been named Business Person of the Year by the Prince George Chamber of Commerce.

Jos Van Hage, the owner of Art Knapp’s Plant Land and The Keg Restaurant, was given the honour at last night’s Business Excellence Awards.

He says the best thing to do as a business person in PG is to keep growing.

“That we live in a community, I would call it more a city, but we are very fortunate to live in Prince George and be able to do business, and its a good town.”

Van Hage has been in business in Prince George for over 35 years.

He started with the Art Knapp’s greenhouse in the early ’80’s, and purchased The Keg earlier this year.
