The 28th Antique Fair was hosted this weekend at the Prince George Roll-A-Dome, this time with an extra attraction.
For the first time ever, the fair was split into two sections, one for antiques and the other for local home-based businesses to be showcased.
One vendor, Amanda Chandler, is thankful for the opportunity to promote her business.
“It’s been great, [we’ve] been getting lots of exposure, tons of people come to town for the antique fair, and being that they have to walk [past the market] to exit the building, it helps drive traffic to the marketplace where all the different local vendors are.”
OVer 100 vendors between the two sides set up booths to show their loot. The new marketplace was met with open arms by everyone involved.
“It’s invaluable. It’s awesome to be able to be here at the same time where there’s so much exposure,” explains Chandler, noting the importance of the first-hand publicity.
“There are so many people that come from all over British Columbia for this fair. The experience, you can’t put a dollar value on it.”
To enter, a five-dollar donation was required with 100% of those proceeds going into the Prince George Hospice Society.
