WATCH: CNC’s new kitchen greenhouse could revolutionize growing produce in the North

WATCH:

The College of New Caledonia’s (CNC) new kitchen greenhouse could revolutionize how to cultivate fresh produce in the North.

The machine is free of chemicals and will help Professional Cooking students grow all year long, providing heat from solar panels.

“At 40 below, you’re still growing vegetables, how good is that? Everything comes from the bottom up and with this particular system, we create our own thermal energy and keep the soil warm so growing and more productive.”

– Chef Ron Christian, CNC Instructor

The 100% organic greenhouse will grow a variety of vegetables like lettuce, kale, and assorted micro-greens.
