Prince George high-jumper Alyx Treasure had her first taste of competition at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
The 25-year-old D.P. Todd graduate finished fourth on the Gold Coast in Australia following a leap of 1.91 metres.
Nicola McDermott of Australia edged Treasure for the Bronze Medal after a personal-best leap of also 1.91 metres.

Treasure’s personal-best is 1.94 metres, was set at the 2016 Rio Olympics (she was 17th at the Olympics).
Treasure came into the competition as the 18th-ranked female high jumper in the world and third-ranked in the Commonwealth.
The five-time All-American track standout at Kansas State now trains in Toronto.
