A raucous crowd is expected at the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena as the Fred Page Cup Final makes its way to Prince George.
The Spruce Kings are trailing the best-of-seven-series 2-0 to the Wenatchee Wild with games three and four tonight and tomorrow.
A sold-out crowd is expected and Senior Marketing Manager, Kyle Anderson is hoping for a similar atmosphere once again.
“The only time that we have seen it is game seven in the second round against Surrey and we were at capacity that night and everybody went crazy and we only had a day to sell those tickets.”
“That was crazy.”
Fans are encouraged to wear white similar to the NHL’s Winnipeg Jets.
Anderson adds the promotion has seen its fair share of success at the pro level.
“When you look at a place like Winnipeg and the NHL and what the whiteout brings we decided to mention it, see what happens and encourage fans to wear white and wave the white towels and see if we can make it a little more intimidating place to play.”
“Overall, when you look at the big picture it’s pretty exciting just to see the energy in this city and the send off last week was pretty special and tonight will be one of those games the players will remember for the rest of their lives.”
Rally towels will also be given away to all fans in attendance.
As of early this afternoon, all the seats have been sold and there are 225 standing room only tickets left for game three.
There are 100 seats and 280 standing room only tickets remaining for Tuesday’s game four.
Puck drop is slated for 7 PM at the RMCA.
