Council signs see an increase in vandalism

Council hopefuls have been noticing an increase in the amount of signage vandalism during the elections.

While this kind of vandalism is nothing new, the RCMP treats it as it would with any other destruction of property, and reminds the public that criminal charges are possible, and to address the city with any placement concerns.

Jason Luke is making his very first run for council, and is hoping the individuals responsible will think twice next time around:

“It’s probably people who really have nothing better to do, I would hope that they would think twice and realize that it IS vandalism, they shouldn’t be doing that stuff, clearly. The Police have been called and there is a Police report. So if someone is caught doing that stuff people will press charges”

Luke also mentioned his signs cost up to a hundred and fifty dollars each, and while he only has a handful some Councillors have several hundred.

Something going on in the Prince George area you think people should know about?
