9th Annual Rotten Pumpkin Festival goes tomorrow

Exploration place will be giving you a chance to send off your jack o lanterns in spectacular fashion tomorrow when the hold the 9th annual rotten pumpkin festival.

Museum CEO Tracy Calogaheros describes the afternoon;

“It’s almost indescribable, we’ve got a ten foot catapult and we will be flinging pumpkins with abandon through the air to a big pile of pumpkin gut carnage in front of the museum”

She says the money goes to support the kids;

“The money all goes to support the museums programming, primarily our children’s programming; if you are going to have pumpkin carnage you might as well support kids with it… We are also doing a hot dog barbecue, so for 3 bucks you can get a hot dog and a drink and just hang out and have some fun”

A $2 donation will get your pumpkin tossed across the parking lot. The festival goes from 11am to 2pm in the Science Centre parking lot.
