The NHL West Final resumes today (Noon) in Winnipeg with the Vegas Golden Knights in front of the Jets 3-1.

Sweden  6  USA  0

Canada plays the USA today (6:45AM PT) for bronze followed by Sweden against Switzerland for gold (11:15AM).

UPDATE: SWEDEN WON GOLD, SWITZERLAND SILVER AND THE USA BRONZE.

JUDO:

The Hart Judo Academy and PG Judo Club have combined for seven medals at the national judo championships in Calgary.

Kimi Kamstra (Hart) has won a gold and a silver.

Maxwell Young (Hart) has captured a pair of bronze.

Other bronze have been won by Brooke Corbett (Hart), Sydney Edgson (PG) and Tami Goto (PG).

 

NBA:

Celtics lead the Eastern Conference final 2-1 with game four Monday night at 5:30 in Cleveland.

In the West, Houston plays at Golden State tonight (5pm) with the Rockets and Warriors tied 1-1.

FOOTBALL:

Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel has signed a two-year contract with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Manziel won the Heisman Trophy in 2012 while playing at Texas A&M.

 

PRINCE GEORGE SENIOR LACROSSE:

The next game in PG Senior Lacrosse will go Wednesday night at 8 at Kin 1 featuring the Westwood Pub Devils against the RPR Mechanical/J.R. Construction Bandits.

Both teams are 4-2 and tied for second.

Community reads Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s calls to action

The 94 Calls to Action from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada were heard throughout Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park today (Tuesday) as part of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Ceremony. The idea to have members of the community read for the ceremony was put forward by Jim Lambert, a Sixties Scoop survivor and the Prince George Urban Indigenous Coalition Coordinator. 

CN Centre celebrates 30 years

It was a Sunday fun day at the CN Centre as the City celebrated the arena's 30th anniversary. Plenty of residents got onto the ice at the arena for a free public skate, that went along with food, drinks, and cake.
