The Hart Judo Academy had its best performance in the club’s 20-year history with five medals at the national judo championships in Calgary.
Kimiko Kamstra led the way with a gold (U21 women’s -44 kgs division) and a silver (U18 girls-44 kgs).
Maxwell Young brought home a pair of bronze (U18 boys -55 kgs and U21 -55 kgs men).
Brooke Corbett also captured a bronze (U21 -48 kgs women)
The Prince George Judo Club finished with two bronze, one each from Sydney Edgson (U16 girls) and Tami Goto
(U18 girls).
Team BC racked up a total of 41 medals.
A total of 17 athletes from the Hart and PG Judo clubs competed.
