UPDATE: Power restored to more than 3,100 hydro customers in College Heights

UPDATE – 6PM:

BC Hydro says power has been brought back south of Prince George.

More than 3,100 customers in the College Heights area were without power for a couple of hours Wednesday afternoon.

The outage notification has been taken off the company’s website.

There’s no word yet on the cause of the incident.

We will bring more information as it comes in.

 

ORIGINAL STORY:

A power outage has taken place south of Prince George.

More than 3,100 customers are left in the dark according to BC Hydro’s website.

The outage began just before 4PM and is occurring west of Willow Cale Road, south of Foothills Boulevard, and north of Beechwood Road.

Crews are investigating the cause of the incident.
