The May 28th, 2018, regular Prince George council meeting will begin with council celebrating the success of Downtown Prince George, Northern Development Initiative Trust, Tourism Prince George Society, and the City of Prince George for earning awards at the Best in the West Awards.
There are two delegations scheduled. The District of 100 Mile House will present the City a commemorative photo/plaque to recognize the work PG did for 100 Mile House residents during the 2017 wildfires. Two more plaques will be presented from Emergency Management British Columbia, one to the City’s Emergency Operations Centre and the other to the City’s Emergency Social Services team in appreciation for their contribution and support during the wildfires last year.
Two bylaws will seek final reading and adoption. The Transit Service Annual Operating Agreement Authorization bylaw is an agreement between the City and British Columbia Transit to maintain services and facilities through 2018/2019. The Solid Waste Reserve Fund bylaw establishes the fund to hold monies received in respect of user fees imposed for the purposes of Solid Waste Costs.
