WATCH: BC Bus North to serve as year-long experiment to replace Greyhound

WATCH:

A new pilot project is being launched to replace Greyhound services in the North.

BC Transit and the Ministry of Transportation have introduced “BC Bus North,” which will begin June 4th with one-way fares between $35-$45.

“We also talked about if there was an opportunity for us as municipalities to do some work on trying to find a private sector transportation company that would look at short hauls. For Prince George, I think we will have to wait and see what happens.”

– Mayor Lyn Hall

The 12-month interim service will cost $2 million, but will be offset by fare revenues.
