June 3rd will mark one month since 16-year-old Colten Fleury or “Didi Q” disappeared from his home.
His mother, Phyllis made a plea to the public for anyone to come forward who may know where her son has gone. She just want to know that he is safe and wants him to return home.
“All I care about is that he is home and that he has a place to sleep and that I’m feeding him becasue when he’s out there I don’t know where he sleeps. I don’t know if he has had a meal. That’s the worst thing any mother can go through.”
“I want to say to Colten I wasn’t the best mother, but I tried my best being single. I was in my addiction and fighting the ministry every step of the way. I pray to god each day that you come home.”
Phyllis has been sober for five years now.
She says Cotlen wanted to be with her full time, because he had been living in group homes for a year, but the Ministry for Children and Family Development (MCFD) wouldn’t allow him to move back with his mother.
Phyllis believes he was fed-up with the ministry and decided to leave.
Colten was last seen wearing a Red Hoodie with jeans and it’s possible he may be making his way to Prince Rupert to visit a supposed girlfriend.
Colten is described as:
- First Nations male
- Five-foot-eight
- 120 pounds
- Brown eyes
- Short brown hair
Police have received unconfirmed sightings of Fleury in Prince George, Moricetown, and New Hazelton.
