PG fire crews respond to small fire south of the City

An overheated blower fan appears to be the cause of a small structure fire at the Bio Energy Plant south of Prince George.

Around 8pm, fire crews from four halls responded to a report of smoke coming from one of the vessels and blow pipes at the plant located on Willow Cale Road.

Crews, along with the help of plant staff cooled the vessels and blow pipes and extinguished a small amount of embers from their product and dust.

Some damage was done to the piping and there were no injuries in the incident.
