Foley to lead Downtown Prince George Board Executive once again

The Board Executive of Prince George’s Downtown Business Improvement Association will include Eoin Foley as President for another year.

He’ll be joined by Kirk Gable as Vice-President along with Derek Dougherty and Valerie Eberherr who will solidify the Treasurer and Secretary positions.

Foley says he has some unfinished business he would like to see through.

“I let my name stand again as President because I have a few projects I would like to see through to fruition, the board agreed and said no one else wanted to go over some of the stuff I was doing in the middle of those projects.”

“One of them is the Downtown Health Services Review that we are working on with Northern Health, City of Prince George along with BC Housing to kind of improve the services offered to their clients and better create a stronger business community for downtown.”

The DBIA is encouraged by the recent developments in the downtown core, which should lead to more foot traffic down the road.

“We’ve seen some great new project developments that have been announced and we see the work and the progress down by city hall with that new housing development, they have done a lot with those projects and we’ll support them in any way.”

Foley adds their organization is pleased with the opening of another major hotel in the Courtyard Marriott this spring.
