WATCH: After two delays, Lheidli T’enneh Park’s new pavilion almost ready for public use

WATCH:

The new pavilion in the Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park is slated to open next week after a long process.

The structure was halted on two different occasions back in 2017 due to remains being found during excavation.

“Absolutely at no time did we make arbitrary decisions. Those decisions were always part and parcel of discussions we had collectively with the City, Lheidli T’enneh, and the archeological folks that were doing the dig for us.”

On June 9th, the remains found were returned to the proper resting place in.

The pavilion is opening on June 21st.
