Prince George mother travels to Vancouver in search of her son

The mother of missing 16-year-old Colten Fleury of Prince George is in Vancouver after hearing word her son has been spotted in the Downtown Eastside.

Phyllis, with the help of volunteers from the Aboriginal Front Door Society, searched the streets and handed out flyers in hopes of locating Colten.

“We started about 8 o’clock and I had a bunch of volunteers that also care about kids and care about young people,” says Volunteer Ian Bee. “Some of them had to go home at 11 because they had to go to work in the morning, but myself, I stayed out until 3 in the morning.”

“We went all over Oppenheimer Park where he was last seen the night before. There was lots of good information that we got from some people.”

Their efforts came up short and were unable to locate where Colten was.

The teen left the Prince George hotel, where Phyllis lived, back on may 3rd after being released into her care from a group home.

Colten was last seen wearing a red hoodie with jeans.
