WATCH: Prince George thunderstorm as seen by residents

WATCH:

THOR brought the hammer down in Prince George Wednesday night!

A massive storm saw thunder, lightning, & heavy rain, leading to power outages across the City.

“We had at least four circuits knocked out from the Chief Lake Road substation to the Foothills substation and Beaverly with over 7,000 people without power due to this very strong storm.”

– Bob Gammer, BC Hydro Spokesperson

The phenomenon also caused flash flooding in a number of areas, including the intersection of 5th Avenue & Tabor Boulevard.

Environment Canada says the storm brought a total of 18 millimetres of rain.
