Grand opening of Uda Dune Baiyoh in downtown PG

A new banquet hall will help benefit the Lheidli T’enneh first nation.

A grand opening ceremony was held for the Uda Dune Baiyoh “House of Ancestors” structure which includes a main hall, kitchen, elders lounge and can fit up to 400 people.

Community Construction Coordinator Kyle McIntosh was given a big thanks from both the City of Prince George and the Host First Nation and says it wasn’t just him who worked on getting this building up and running.

“For me, this is a group event. Working with all our partnerships and the Chief and council, it wasn’t all just me it was cumulative and I’m just more than happy to provide my services.”

“It feels fantastic to bring this to the community and it’s going to be a big economic driver for the Lheidli T’enneh. We are just happy to share this with Prince George.”

The new structure is located at the corner of 3rd and Vancouver.
