RCMP investigating suspicious death in Quesnel

Quesnel and North District RCMP are investigating a suspicious death.

On January 15, 2016 just before noon, Police and Emergency Medical Services were called to a home on the 100 block of Brears Road North in Quesnel.

When officers arrived they found a deceased 67 year old man.

Evidence at the scene led officers to believe that the death was suspicious in nature. The North District Major Crime Unit was called in to assist in the investigation.

Police say the cause of death has not been determined, and the investigation is still ongoing.

In order to protect the integrity of the investigation and any possible court proceedings, no further information will be released at this time.

RCMP do not believe there is any current risk to the public.
