A 31-year-old Quesnel man, charged in connection with a shooting incident in Prince George, has pled guilty to three lesser charges prior to going to trial.
Cody Lornsten pled guilty to one count each of Possession of a Prohibited Firearm, Possession of a Firearm contrary to an order, and a Breach of Undertaking. He was also charged with Aggravated Assault, Unlawfully Discharging a Firearm, and Use of a Firearm while committing an Indictable Offence.
Lornsten is due back in Supreme Court on November 7th for sentencing. He was slated to go to trial on Monday.
Prince George RCMP received a report of multiple shots fired in the 2000 block of Tamarack Street early October 22nd, 2017. Police say the evidence gathered at the scene led them to believe two individuals exchanged gunfire outside a residence. It is believed one person was injured.
Micheal Campbell-Alexander, 20, of Prince George is scheduled to go to trial in February in connection to this case. The charges he is facing include Attempted Murder and Discharging a Firearm with intent to Wound or Disfigure.
