RCMP looking to locate woman behind a home invasion

The RCMP is looking to identify a person responsible for a home invasion on the 700 block of Patricia Boulevard.

Around 10 this morning, an unknown woman gained access to an unlocked window at the residence, made her way into the home then to the bedroom and began to cuddle the lone elderly resident.

The senior was not harmed in the incident and told the intruder to leave and escorted her to the door.

The RCMP are concerned about this and corporal Craig Douglas issued a statement saying “just because no one was hurt, doesn’t mean that this isn’t serious. Anyone that knowingly breaks into someone’s home while they sleep, has no regard for other people or their property. We need to locate her.”

Unfortunately, no description is available at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

If you have any information about this you are being asked to contact the RCMP at (250)561-3300 or Crime Stoppers at 1(800)222-8477.
