WATCH: Victor Walk gives voice to those who have suffered sexual abuse trauma

WATCH:

Sexual abuse survivors are wearing orange and walking to give voice and show support for those affected by trauma.

The Victor Walk is a national movement aimed at getting people to stand up and tell their story of childhood sexual abuse and rape.

“I lived a very anxious life. I was always ready to run or fight. Now I’m an adult and I’ve learned coping skills through counseling and doing my own healing work and it has helped me be a better person and I choose to be an advocate.”

Stas show one in two girls (1/2) and one in three boys (1/3) falls victim to unwanted sexual advances before the age of 18.
