Voters in the Prince George area have a chance to get a local view on the upcoming electoral reform referendum thanks to a professor at the University of Northern BC.

Tracy Summerville will present B.C.’s Electoral Reform Referendum: What You Need to Know at the Prince George Public Library on Thursday.

This fall, a referendum will be held on if British Columbia should continue with the first past the post voting system or switch to proportional representation. Summerville is expected to discuss the current system, suggested changes, and the pros and cons of both.

The free program is in the Keith Gordon Room at the Bob Harkins Branch from 7pm to 8:30pm.
