Local resident makes Team Canada Motorcross roster

Prince George native Jess Pettis has made Team Canada’s roster for the upcoming Motorcross of Nations.

Pettis, who currently holds 250 points in MX2, will be joining Triple Crown Motorcross points leader Colton Facciotti and two-time Canadian champion Kaven Benoit to represent the country.

Pettis is excited to take part in the “Olympics of Motorcross” and what it will mean for his career.

“I think it’ll help put me on the radar if we do good at Motorcross the Nations. The whole industry is there watching and if you do good there, then all eyes are on you.”

“The whole city has been behind me 100 per cent,” added Pettis. A lot of local businesses and people have helped me out along the way to get to where I am and to even be chosen for Motorcross the Nations. I have to give a huge shoutout to Prince Geroge for being behind me the whole way.”

The event is being held at the famous RedBud Circuit in Michigan on October 6th to 7th.
