WATCH: PG pitcher takes International spotlight in Women’s Baseball

WATCH:

A Prince George pitcher is making headlines at the Women’s Baseball World Cup in Florida.

Amanda Asay tossed a complete game 1-hitter in the Playoff ‘Super Round’, leading Canada to a 5-0 win over Venezuela.

“Our defence was awesome. I was pitching to contact and they kept making the plays behind me which is a huge confidence boost on the mound.”

The 30-year-old is 2-0 on the mound in the tournament thus far, beating Cuba 10-7 in the round robin.
