WATCH: PG RCMP ticket several vehicles on first day of school

WATCH:

School zones are in full force & the PG RCMP are watching for those going over the 30km/h speed limit.

On Wednesday morning at College Heights Elementary, several vehicles were ticketed, prompting police to suggest a simple solution.

“Parents need to demonstrate safe driving skills with their children. Don’t stop in the middle of traffic and have your kids run out into traffic. Pull over where it’s safe and stay on the sidewalk and look both ways before crossing the street.”

– RCMP Sgt. Matt LaBelle

The minimum fine for school zone speeding is $196 & increases with each offence.
